Our engineers have expert knowledge in a wide range of generator control systems from old relay logic up to the most modern computer control units. In the event that a control system has become obsolete, MEMS are able to offer cost-effective upgrades to the latest micro-processor controlled systems, either integrating controls into the existing systems or offering complete re-design to the customer's specification.

System tests

Regular system tests are imperative to ensure your emergency back-up generator starts and performs correctly in the event of an unplanned power failure. Our engineers are readily available to assist with simulated mains failure / site load testing whether during a normal contract visit or at a pre-arranged out-of-hours shutdown. By having an engineer in attendance you have the added advantage of an experienced operative to hand should a fault develop during testing.

Load bank testing

In situations where a mains failure test is not feasible, MEMS can provide load bank testing. This has the advantage of testing the generator to its full operating capacity and can be effective in diagnosing any potential faults before they become a real problem whilst ensuring there is no impact to site activities.
