With many generator fuel transfer systems only used in emergency situations, regular and complete testing is vital to ensure integrity.

MEMS can provide a comprehensive maintenance package to cover all aspects of bulk diesel fuel storage, pump transfer and safety systems. With highly competent Confined Space trained engineers we can access tank rooms and provide detailed reports on the condition of storage tanks and pipelines, and carry out complete system tests to ensure correct operation of the system.

System upgrades

MEMS can carry out a wide range of repairs to fuel transfer systems and their related components, from leaking pipe repairs to pump and control system overhauls. We can also provide upgrades to existing systems where they no longer meet relevant standards or carry out complete system redesigns incorporating the latest pump panel technology.

Tank cleaning & fuel polishing

With all bulk storage systems fuel will degrade over time due to contamination from various sources including condensation. This can be further exacerbated by the introduction of all diesel oil being supplied with a 7% concentrate of Bio-diesel under EU Directive 2009/30/EC (effective from January 2010). This promotes the growth of bacteria, furring pipes, blocking filter elements and potentially causing serious damage to engine fuel systems.

MEMS offer a cost effective tank cleaning and fuel polishing service which removes any debris build-up inside the storage tanks and polishes fuel removing water, microbial, sludge and particulate contamination.
