About the role
We are looking for a locally based Apprentice to learn and develop your skill, knowledge and experience regarding all aspects of Power Generation including repairs and upgrades on fuel storage tanks, changeover panels, switchgear, control systems and alternator rewinds and much more.

The closing date for this vacancy is the 2nd of April 2021 with a view to starting in May 2021.

Key responsibilities

  • Working with engineers to gain a solid foundation of engineering skills
  • Learning within your area of specialism (mechanical/electrical)
  • Receive on the job and off the job training
  • Maintain H&S; Quality and Environmental Standards as per the relevant Regulations and Manuals

It is a requirement of the role that you attend college classes as outlined by the learning provider and participate in ongoing assessments both theory and practical.

About you
You will have a Maths, English and Science / ICT grade 9-4 or A*-C. Excellent communication skills; enjoy working within engineering; display a good work ethos and be physically fit (lifting and carrying copper wire etc.).

It is preferred that you have a full clean driver licence (travel is a requirement), however, proof of working towards your licence is accepted.

Working outside normal hours is a requirement for which overtime will be paid at the prevailing rate.
