MEMS Achieves Achilles Carbon Reduce Certification 2025
MEMS Power Generation has once again achieved the Achilles Carbon Reduce Certification 2025, reaffirming our ongoing commitment to sustainability, energy efficiency, and responsible operations across the UK.
This independent certification, powered by Toitū Envirocare and verified under ISO 14064 standards, recognises our continued progress in measuring, managing, and reducing greenhouse gas emissions. It marks another important milestone in our long-term environmental strategy, one that places accountability and continuous improvement at the heart of everything we do.
Following our successful certification last year, which you can read about here, this latest achievement confirms that our sustainability programme remains strong and forward-focused.
Our Achilles Carbon Reduce Certification Journey
Achieving the Achilles Carbon Reduce Certification 2025 once again reflects careful planning, data analysis, and investment in new sustainability initiatives.
Each year, we review our performance in detail to make sure we’re delivering meaningful progress and reducing our environmental footprint.

Our Journey Towards Sustainability
To support our long-term carbon reduction goals, several key projects and improvements have taken shape across our sites:
- Solar Expansion:
The solar arrays at our headquarters continue to generate clean energy, and plans are now underway to double capacity across our sites. This expansion will further reduce reliance on grid electricity and enhance our ability to power operations using renewable energy. - Zero-Carbon Energy Supply:
All MEMS sites have transitioned to renewable, REGO-backed electricity tariffs, meaning the power we use is matched with certified renewable generation. This ensures our operations run on energy sourced from low or zero-carbon origins. - Improved Data Accuracy:
We’ve enhanced how we track and report our emissions, from diesel used in our service fleet and testing bays to electricity and waste monitoring. These refinements mean our carbon reporting is more transparent, accurate, and actionable than ever before.
These initiatives, combined with continued investment in sustainable technology and smarter resource management, demonstrate our determination to lead by example, delivering dependable power while driving meaningful environmental progress.
Our commitment continues
At MEMS, sustainability is a continual journey, not a single milestone. Achieving the Achilles Carbon Reduce Certification 2025 demonstrates our long-term dedication to lowering emissions while maintaining the reliability and quality our customers depend on.
We remain focused on driving forward with renewable energy investments, smarter energy use, and stronger accountability across our operations. Every decision we make contributes to a cleaner, more efficient future, for our customers, our communities, and our planet.
